Lessons from INTERGEO 2015
INTERGEO is the world’s leading conference trade fair for geodesy, geoinformation and land management. This year it was held in Stuttgart, Germany between the 15th and the 17th of September and hosted over 16 000 visitors from 92 countries and over 500 exhibitors.
INTERGEO is an ideal opportunity for learning what is happening in the geospatial industry internationally from attendee’s key takeaways. This year’s key takeaways are listed below.
- That GNSS receiver technology is becoming much better value for money with the higher availability of cm accurate data.
- BIM is being adopted into GIS processes and the industry is working to progress it further in the future.
- UAVs are emerging as the way of the future – keep an eye on this space for exciting and new products.
Speaking of exciting and new products, Trimble took advantage of their substantial presence at INTERGEO to launch some exciting, new products of their own.
