TRIMBLE GEDO SCAN OFFICE POINT CLOUD MODULE
The Point Cloud Module enables track-specific analysis of 3D point clouds.
It allows measurement of distances between objects or relative to the track position and supports clearance checks using a static frame or a wagon model. The module can detect the position of adjacent tracks, identify overhead lines, and calculate their distances from the track.
Points can be extracted directly from the point cloud, while line objects can be automatically registered. Cross profiles generated along the route can be further processed and vectorised using Trimble GEDO Scan Analysis.
Following automatic dimensioning, data can be exported in DXF format. In addition to data captured kinematically with the Trimble GEDO Scan System, the module can also process static laser scan data and point clouds from Mobile Mapping Systems.
